Illustration copyright Kristen Schwartz
If you haven't done so already, it's time to schedule some time with your web person to update all your pertinent 2013 information. Some areas you may want to take a look at - dated copyright on your website or blog, old calendar listings for 2012, new offerings for 2013, etc. Have a look around your site to see if anything else needs to be updated. Perhaps there's a service listed you don't offer anymore or a photo that needs to be switched. Updating your website can be surprisingly inexpensive when you do it on a regular basis and get several things done at once. Keep it fresh and clear those cobwebs... unless, of course, they're part of the decor.

Until next time - Happy Holidays!

My new responsive website design.
I am so happy to announce my return to this poor neglected blog!  During the last 4 years, most of my time has gone into studying children's illustration, but now that my children's illustration portfolio is circulating in the publishing world, it's time to spend more time here. I've also redesigned my website to put more emphasis on web design since I'm taking new clients again. Have a look at the new design. It has a spiffy new responsive framework that allows it to morph to the size of any browser. That also means it's a lot of fun to play with. Do this by grabbing the bottom right corner of your browser window and dragging it to the left. The layout of the pages will change as you drag them.

Today was launch day and I'm now on the lookout for unexpected bugs. No matter how thorough any web designer is, there is always something random that will only happen in one version of an obscure browser. I have worked around a lot of known issues in my code, but if you find a bug, let me know. There is a link to my email at the foot of every page...
